Mariposa is Spanish for Butterfly.
We like the metaphor of the beautiful
butterfly emerging from the cocoon.
A beautiful consciousness emerging from the unconscious.

What is the Mariposa Group really?
i.e. How do I wrap my head around this?

Simplest straight forward answer:
The MG is about making life better; actually living a better, happier, more Joyful life!
That's really it !! Really!!

The question now of course is: How do we/you/I do this?

Our approach is to be loving, honest (consciously seek out the truth)
and then take action on the truth we find to create this better life.

In our experience (check out if this is your experience) there are three major areas
where most people find challenges and/or troubles in life. "MSP"

MONEY, SEX, and POWER

MONEY: This is what is typically needed to get and maintain the basics we need in life.
Safety & security, Food. Housing.

SEX:   This need in life maintains the human race;
           And to do this, sex is a very strong drive within people,
           along with the need for companionship.

POWER: The inherent drive within each person not only to be alive and remain alive, but at a certain point, to become what is natural and specific to you. That is to be whatever.... a parent, a painter, a politician, a teacher, a house builder, a farmer, a plumber, a brain surgeon.... You get the point; it is whatever is in you that naturally gets your interest and desire. Also in the beginning, it is very clear that power in the basic, primitive sense of the ability to "move & do" is what often is used to get Money and Sex. There often is a confused, unconscious and convoluted intertwining back and forth among Money, Sex, and Power.

The path out of this convoluted and painful intertwining is increasing Consciousness.... which is here now!

        When these needs are being sought to be met, a number of ways of accomplishing that have evolved over time and in different locations around the world. Up until now, each location (culture) had likely its own very specific way of trying to get these needs met. AND some of these ways resulted in some very harsh or unnatural methods (people are unhappy). Some resulted in very kind and loving methods (people are happy). Yet each location (culture), up until now, only knew about its own method of living and fulfilling its needs. So it very often appeared to be "natural" and the "only way" or "right way" to be.

        BUT NOW communication of information about different ways of being around the world, easily gives us the ability to look at and see how other people's methods work or don't work.

        What The Mariposa Group is about is looking deeply and honestly within cultures (certainly including our own) and searching out the Truth: That is highlighting the painful methods (what does not work) and removing them from how we operate. And we find and/or create happy (what does really work) methods. We purposely, consciously, recreating our community culture via these happy methods.

        What works for this?   A desire for a better life. Courage to challenge and remove old ways (methods) of being. Courage to incorporate other happy methods we come across. And the courage to innovate and try new ways of being which we think will work for our happiness. In a sense it is 'scientific'. We try and test. Discard the unworkable. Keep (and celebrate) the new which does bring about more happiness.

        The world has done this since the beginning of time. BUT it was doing it very, very SLOWLY!! So that to one person in a given location / culture, it might appear that almost nothing is changing. It might take ten's of generations for it to be noticed that "things have changed!" somewhat.

        NOW change is occurring faster and faster. Our access to information / knowledge / truth is easier than ever before. Consciousness is growing!

What is the Opposition to change into more and more Happy ways of being?

IGNORANCE & FEAR

Fortunately, by coming together (conscious, committed community), we can more and more easily overcome ignorance & fear.
And we can easily co-create a better (Love & Truth) culture which is life positive.

Contribution: Each member contributes time, energy, and resources according to their capacity while fulfilling a basic minimum contribution
Land: We have 14.7 acres with lovely crystal clear deep well water and electricity already in and completely paid for 8 miles from 3-state border of Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana. We are so lucky in that there is NO zoning in this county. Literally we can build anything we wish. We already have two houses here.
